Noida records slight uptick in Covid cases with 31 fresh infections

In the last 24 hours, Gautam Buddha Nagar had recorded a slight jump in the Covid-19 cases. Around 31 cases were reported on Thursday.

Noida has recorded an uptick in the number of Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. As many as 31 fresh coronavirus cases were recorded on Thursday.

The city had recorded 43 new cases the previous day, which was the highest in the last 15 days. Last, the highest number of cases registered on May 25, when the city reported 33 Covid-19 cases.

As per the reports, the officials said that while the cases are low, a marginal hike can be seen. Fewer than 50 cases have been reported in the district for more than 20 days now.

There has been no significant growth in the number of hospitalisations as well.

COVID-19 TALLY IN INDIA

India reported 7,240 new coronavirus infections, taking the overall tally of Covid-19 cases in the country to 4,31,97,522, in the last 24 hours. As many as eight deaths were recorded on Thursday.

The positivity rate stood at 1.62 per cent in the last 24 hours, while the weekly positivity rate was recorded to be 0.91 per cent.

The active cases in the country stood at 32,498. As per the data by the heath department, the death toll reached 5,24,723 on Thursday.
