13:12 PM IST: JD(S) chief HD Kumaraswamy lashed out at the Congress and called it the BJP's "B-team" after his party MLA K Srinivasa Gowda openly admitted to voting for the Congress in the Rajya Sabha polls. "I had said that Srinivasa Gowda will vote for Congress. SR Srinivas also didn't vote for JD(S). Congress has shown its true face today. Congress is the 'B' team of the BJP. 12:49 PM IST: A argument broke out between Deputy Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan assembly Rajendra Rathod and state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra after the latter alleged that BJP MLA Kailash Meena showed his ballot to the BJP polling agent. Proceedings briefly came to a halt as Rathod and Dotasra exchanged heated words. Footage from CCTV cameras may be examined to determine if Kailash Meena showed his ballot or not, after which the validity of the vote will be decided.
12:40 PM IST: BJP MLA Shobharani Kushwaha's vote was rejected during polling in the Rajya Sabha election in Rajasthan. She is the MLA from Dholpur. BJP State President Satish Poonia said the validity of vote will be decided at the time of counting.

The Election Commission has appointed special observers and ordered videography of the entire exercise amid allegations of horse-trading by rival parties. In the run-up to the polls, the Congress and the BJP had sequestered their legislators in hotels and resorts to deter poaching. The MLAs will head to the legislative assemblies today to cast their votes.
