Two brothers killed their father after an argument over money and property in UP’s Siddharthnagar district. The two then buried the victim’s body beside a drain and lied about his whereabouts to their mother. They said that they had dropped him off at another village and would come back on his own.
The incident is of Madhubanwa village when, on June 4, the victim, Parshuram, had a quarrel with his two sons, Rajaram and Sonu, about them asking him for money for liquor and property.
The next day, the victim threatened the two with complaining to the police if they did not let go of the matter and left for work. The agitated brothers followed him out, killed him and then buried his body beside a drain. When their mother inquired about her husband’s whereabouts later that day, the two lied.
ACCUSED ADMIT TO CRIME
When the victim did not return home, his wife filed a missing persons report with the police. During the investigation, the police grew suspicious of the two sons and eventually questioned them.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Yashveer Singh said, “During interrogation, the two admitted to the crime and revealed the location of the body. We have recovered it and sent it for a post-mortem.”
He also added that a case had been filed against the two accused under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and further investigation is underway.
